You might want to consider getting the route for the Annual Seattle to
Portland Ride.  Mostly low traffic roads with facilities; i.e. food/water/

Restrooms on the route.

Yes, it is quite possible to ride from Whistler to Portland ., at least from
the border south to Portland - I'm not familiar with the BC roads. If you
contact me off-list I can provide some suggestions for the Washington
section - there are many options so it really depends on your criteria -
shortest, scenic, etc.  Some stretches could be considered busy, but for the
most part that can be avoided if you are willing to ride a bit further or
time your ride appropriately.

Once again, I come to you all with a question:  is it possible to ride a
bicycle from Whistler, BC to Portland, OR?  I am physically capable of doing
so; what I am asking is can any of you speak to the types of roads that I
would have to ride?  Would I be able to avoid busy highways?
