[ORRando] Heck Week

I think we are getting way too worked up here.
All I did was suggest some routes.

I understand the work it would take to "working it into the schedule".
That is the point I was trying to make.
But I think the Perm form is worth considering

Susan "working it into the schedule" isn't quit enough.

For ACP events that are outside our "normal" ACP schedule I would request a volunteer organizers .... yes, that many months in advanced. And I would want to be sure I'm not taking an organizer away from the "normal" ACP schedule or diluting the importance of the normal ACP series.

I'd expect an organizer per brevet, not the whole week. (I generally don't allow rider organizers to over-volunteer cause it's to easy to burn them out). I think I may also start limiting "new" organizers to existing routes. New route+new organizer requires much more work on my part. So, if someone has a hankering to organize a "new" event... and you are "new" as an organizer... Birkie and Covered Bridges 400 are available in the spring schedule ;-)

  Susan.

It would have to be next year to get ACP approval for PBP ,as Marcello said,
and Susan would need to work it into the Brevet schedule
but if enough people wanted to do a Perm form it could be done this year.

I thought next year or the year after was what the original post said. To me it would be fun to have a heck week and get the PBP qualification out of the way.

If we plan now for spring 2011, we could do it as ACP events that count
for an SR series and for PBP. Not this year, though.
