[ORRando] When is spring?

Also, there is nothing preventing a group of riders simply getting together and organizing routes/rides (non-RUSA) or riding perms (perms can be organized scheduled any time it is available). While not a RUSA event, we can advertise it on the website. We'll just the the info and contact so that Michael or I don't have to answer queries.

Brevets on the otherhand require: route design (piece of cake), route scouting, route rework, brevet route approvals (2 months), brevet calendar approvals (minimum 5 weeks), publishing and printing new paperwork, finding someone to organize the event, making reservations, finding volunteers, and answering a boatload of questions.

FWIW.... there are about 150 perms in OR and WA to choose from. Real randos don't need someone to cheer them on, or someone to fluff the pillows. One simply needs to decide what perm(s) to do and organize a group of likeminded riders. There are perms that have never been ridden. You can even go ride at Wenachee Camp this year. I might go because I'm not the organizer, no one will recognize me sporting my "blue-shirt", I'll probably be off route or hanging around coffee shops rather than checking my watch.

When is spring?

Susan.
