A huge shout-out to Michael Wolfe for organizing this weekend's 600K!
The course was challenging, but the scenery was well worth it.  
 
And eventually  (when my achilles tendons stop aching and my right pinky
finger is no longer numb), I'll forget the few brief moments when I had
fleeting thoughts like "I'm doing this why?" and "Michael Wolfe is a
sadist!" .  Then I'll do something reckless, like sign up for another
one.
 
Extra special thanks to all the wonderful volunteers who made it all
happen:  Mike Rasmussen & the senior Mr. Wolfe @ the not-so-secret
Secret controls.  Vincent Muoneke, Phil Andre and a gal whose name I
missed (sorry!) at the overnight.  Jeff & Allison at the finish control.
(I'm probably forgetting someone, too...)  You were all awesome, and so
accommodating.
