[OrRando] Lighting

Yes, but I prefer the narrow beam of my E6 if I only have 1 light. Which reminds me of RAAM and the van lights. One kind of lights makes everything appear "flat"... it was when I had a combination of angles and colors that I found I could see better. I suspect that 2 different lamps in different locations would work best for me but I use just one.

You could select a lamp by riding with some folks that have different kinds. Switch off all but the E6 and ride with those... Then switch on the Lumotecs and ride with only those and then choose what you like the best. I don't like the Lumotec if I have to choose only 1 lamp. For me, it is harder to distinquish distance and detail. On the other hand I sometime commute on a winding trail and the narrow beam of the E6 makes the corners more difficult. In that case I usually just switch on my headlamp for a bit to catch the corners.

BTW, riding ahead of someone with a handlebar mounted lamp point straight ahead sucks for those of us who use mirrors... Just about as bad a flashing helmet blinkies.

That reminds me... I need to order my new wheels and SON hub and another E6...
Susan.

I read the Peter White page and came away less than illuminated (pun fully intended).
