[OrRando] Ye Olde Lighting Question

Schmidt hub, LED Lumotec primary and E-6 secondary is great for me. Lots of
diffused light from the LED and a long reach beam from the E6. I leave the
primary on all the time.

Mark Thomas's shop is a good place to get the gear and you get a discount.

Consensus? Ha! No, or at least not really.

I use Lumotec ovals. On the Screech Owl Susan commented that when I rode
behind
her she sometimes thought it was a car back there. I've also ridden side by
side
with E6 folks and thought the lights were very comparable.

The LED Lumotec is putting out full brightness before you finish your first
pedal
stroke. It's a great light.

If I were to add a secondary it might be an E6.

As to LBS vs. Peter, it's a thorny issue. Having Peter build your wheel
(for a
whopping $30) will give you a bomb proof, or at least 230 pound rider who
likes to
load up with too much gear proof, wheel backed by someone with years of
experience
and happy customers.

Yes, there are great wheel builders in our area too.
