I've given up trying to keep my hands dry. I've found that rag wool gloves
work well for me in wet and cold weather. They are cheap and I carry an
extra pair like Beth does.

I got really excited about the OR Rain Claw Mitt a couple of years ago, but
by the time I found out about them, they were already unavailable. Just a
simple, thin, waterproof shell. I've contacted OR to ask about them, and
they said that they were working on a new version. That was over a year ago
and I haven't seen this new version yet. Here is what the old version looked
