I second Joel's comment that this was a brrutaaaal ! PBP with finish times 8
to 10 hours slower than in 03. The weather sucked pretty much all the way
accept the last 45K into Brest and out again. Michael Wolfe and I had a
brilliant view of the Port of Brest in full Sun. We had a great time riding
together on our second day from 60K pre-Loudeac to Brest and back to
Loudeac. Wolfe man was itching to finish and so he headed on without me for
the third day. I needed more sleep . In fact sleep was my issue on this ride
I fell asleep half a dozen times on the bike only to be woken up by the
sound and feel of dirt under my wheels as I slipped off the black top onto
the shoulder of the road. Falling asleep going downhill was not so good
either, but I stayed upright and found the nearest dry spot to catch a nap.
I hope to get a more detailed story out to everyone later, but for now thank
you for your support and encouragement.

Philippe
