Are any other randonneurs planning to participate in Cycle Oregon?

I was considering riding to the start from Portland.  The part from  
Estacada up the Clackamas River and then on the West Cascades Scenic  
Byway to Detroit Lake should be really nice.  (Can someone confirm  
that tis is all blacktop?)  From Detroit Lake to Sisters seems like a  
pull on the main road — unless someone knows an alternative.

It looks like about 170 miles from my house (on the West side of  
Portland), or about 130 from Estacada.  I think that i'd prefer to do  
it in 2 days.   Is anyone else interested in participating or  
planning this.

Of course, there is also the question of getting home at the end. I  
haven't planned that far ahead yet ;-)
