Maybe you should re-think your decision about Northwest Crank.

Thirty-four NW riders have already signed up, and as many as 50 riders are
expected to converge on Wenatchee, Washington, at the end of the month for
five days of riding in the sunny (we didn't say warm ...) Columbia
Basin. Hosted
by the Seattle International Randonneurs (SIR), Northwest Crank is a cycling
festival where riders of all abilities can get an early break from the rain,
focus on improving their fitness, and simply enjoy of some of the most
beautiful countryside in the west.

"Wenatchee is a fantastic location for a cycling base camp," says Northwest
Crank organizer, Terry Zmrhal. "Just about every conceivable terrain is
located within a half-day's ride. Plus, riders can bring their families and
they will enjoy the many outdoor activities in the area while the cyclists
are out on the roads."

Northwest Crank will feature three fully-supported routes each day, plus
maps and cue-sheets for unsupported rambles and adventure options. Planned
routes will take riders to destinations such as Badger Mountain, Cashmere,
Lake Chelan, Quincy and Ephrata. Riders can choose the routes with just the
right mileage and cumulative climbing.

A $65 registration fee covers route sheets and support for five days of
riding, plus a Saturday night banquet and commemorative photo.
