It'd be great to have you and all of our friends from Oregon join us for the
kick-off to the 2nd series.  Weather reports are promising and Peg promises
cold beverages and the tastiest of grub at the finish line pub.  What could
make for a better jaunt?

Imagine racing all the stages of the Tour de France solo, back to back.

It's called Le Tour Direct, and Seattle  International Randonneurs Member
Chris Ragsdale has been invited to race Le Tour Direct this coming August.

Come ride SIR's  Summer Populaire July 8th in Olympia and meet and ride with
Chris and select members of his support team.

You can join Chris on an Audax style 100K Populaire, starting and ending at
the Fishtail brewpub in downtown Olympia.  Chris  will pull the group at 22k
per hour (not to exceed 13.6 mph average).

After the ride join Chris and his team at the Fishtail for a cold one and
fascinating discussion about his race preparation,  strategy, and what he
and his support team expect in this extraordinary endurance event!

Not only is this event a sanctioned SIR brevet for which you will earn a
medal, but it is also a fund raiser for Chris and his team. The event will
start promptly at 9:00am, at the Fishtail Brew Pub, 515  Jefferson St SE in
Olympia.

Anyone interested in riding either the Vernonia Populaire (113k) or Woodburn
Heartburn (150k) Perms on Sunday?

I'd go up to the SIR populaire on Saturday if I could share a ride or if
others were interested in splitting the cost of gas for the Subur"barge".
