Ah yes, and the "free soaking pool if you eat here" package for us locals
who will eat but not sleep.

How far is the pedal from the soaking pool to the beer tent :-)

  Kennedy School was my first thought too. In addition to eating brunch
there, it would make a nice finish for early finishers who wanted to spend
the night somewhere.

  If you are not familiar with the Kennedy School, it is in NE Portland and
is another McMenamins pub/hotel - same as the Grand Lodge.

    That's also the weekend of the Oregon Brewers Festival with thousands of
    people flooding through Waterfront park to drink lots of beer.

    Perhaps Kennedy School for brunch?   Any idea at all of the number of
people
    who might be participating?  That will really shape the choices.
