Holding it below 32 tons is a smart move for that climb out of Carlton.

Gregory Cickavage didn’t know (he said that the portion in Tillamook County was open, but he didn’t know about the portions to the east.  He did however give me a ‘phone number for the BLM
503 815 1100
and the woman I spoke to there said that the Nestucca River Scenic Byway is open all the way, but that Bible Creek is currently closed.
James will be fully loaded, but the 32-ton weight restriction should not be a problem ;-)

Looking at Trip Check I see only a weight restriction on the road between Carlton and Beaver.  I also see a contact:

High Impact |

Can anyone give me definitive information about closure of sections of the Nestucca River Scenic Byway?  One BLM web page says one thing, another BLM web page says a contradictory thing.

I was planning to ride from Carlton to Beaver and through to the coast on Friday, on the Nestucca River Road, Upper Nestucca Road, and Blaine Road.  Is this possible?  If not what other options are available.  One website says that Bible Creek is open, another that it is closed ...  nowhere have I found a map.  How is one supposed to know where "milepost 7" is located?

Any help much appreciated
