[ORRando] Spine-less End of Summer Frolic

I’ve been thinking of how to squeeze in a short bike tour before the end of summer, and I have half a plan.

It turns out that my wife has a high school reunion in Eugene the weekend of 31st August. I was hoping to stay home, but she wants me to attend, at least the garden party on Saturday 31st. I’m not clear if I’ll be able to escape for Sunday 1st, or not until Monday.
But I was thinking of using the northern half of Michael Wolf’s "Spine" perm from Portland to Klamath Falls as a way of getting from Eugene to Portland.

It’s about 350km, and I think that it this would make a rather nice 3-day tour (instead of an exhausting 1 day brevet). Accommodation at McKenzie bridge (around 100km) and Detroit Lake or Breitenbush (around 200km). Then it’s over FR-46 to Ripplebrook, down to Estacada, and in to Portland on the Springwater trail from Borning. The last 120km is mostly downhill! The route is here: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/30867382 but I can never figure out if I’ve made it public or not.

The question I’m heading towards is: is anyone interested in joining me? Since this is sort of a holiday weekend (if we leave on Monday the holiday will be over) accommodation will need to be booked — if indeed it can be found at such short notice.
