[ORRando] It is time to Renew your RUSA membership, or Join for the first time!

A friendly reminder that you should renew your Randonneurs USA membership for 2016 (memberships expire on Dec 31).  RUSA membership is required to ride permanents.

RUSA is the national organization which supports the local RBAs/randonneuring clubs.  There is a lot of behind the scenes volunteer work which makes it possible for the RBA to offer brevets to you and have the results recorded at the national and (for ACP-sanctioned events) international level.  While all who do work for RUSA are volunteers, the work itself is not cost free.  One of RUSA's major expenses is covering the liability insurance for Every Single Permanent Owner.

If you are on this list, and are not YET a RUSA member, I encourage you to join up!  Member-only benefits include the Handbook, the RUSA quarterly magazine, riding permanents, and the opportunity to earn a variety of awards for riding as a member, from the P-12 award (a populaire a month for 12 consecutive months), individual brevet medals, the Super Randonneur award (200k, 300k, 400k, and 600k ACP brevets in a calendar year), to the RUSA Cup and others.
