[ORRando] Bend (Sunriver) 200km Brevet

On September 6th, 14 riders rode the Bend 200km brevet with typical Central
Oregon weather conditions: You start off bundled up at a start temp of
about 36 degrees, shed clothes as you ride with temps rising to the mid
80's and finish with a respectable 70 something degree temp.

The route is two 100km loops mostly in the Deschutes Forest.  The first
loop climbs up the back of Mt. Bachelor with quite a few views, a stop at
Elk Lake and then a 17 mile downhill back to Sunriver.  The second loop
heads to Cultus Lake, Twin Lakes Resort and back to Sunriver and is
slightly rolling mostly downhill.  Both loops are on low traffic roads for
the most part often with a decent shoulder.

The randonneurs and a randonneuse were pleased with the route and I hope to
hold it again in 2015.
