[ORRando] Banks-Elsie 200k Pre ride Report

No changes to the route from last year.

The linear trail is a little bumpier due to tree root incursion
but the abrupt ramps on the creek bridges have been
somewhat mitigated.

There is some uneven pavement on Hwy 202
between Birkenfeld and Jewell Meadows Elk Viewpoint.

Watch out for the cattle guard across the Elk Viewing
headquarters entrance.

Some  minor debris from small landslides remains along Hwy 103
near the edge of the road.

Use caution at the Hwy 103/US 26 junction.

All of last years controls are still in service.

The “Birkie” is now basically a music venue but does have some
services and should be open on the homeward leg.

In addition to the services  for Vernonia listed on the cue sheet 
there is also a new Subway in town  on the South side of Bridge Street .
