Speaking of discounts...
 
Did you all know that MANY of the bike shops in the metro area (and
Eugene, Bend, Salem, Corvallis, etc.)  offer a 10% discount on parts,
accessories, etc to BTA members?   As do a slew of other businesses?

I, of course, think you should be a BTA member for all the advocacy
work, educational programs, bike safety initiatives, and legislative
work the BTA does on YOUR behalf.   But if it's the bike shop discounts
that draw you in, well then great.  Either way, please support the BTA
with your membership.  The basic annual rate is just $40.  The BTA does
a huge amount of work on a surprisingly small budget.
 
Thanks a bunch.  You may now return to  your regularly scheduled
program....
