Passing along tragic news via Mark Thomas for anyone who doesn't subscribe
to the SIR list.

I didn't know Jared, but my thoughts have been with him these last few days.

Tragic news last weekend from Eastern Washington. New randonneur Jared Carr
was struck by (likely) impaired driver and killed at night on DRR 400k
brevet. Deepest sympathies to his wife Kelley and his friends and family. A
memorial service will be held on June 23rd in Walla Walla. If you want
information, let me know.

Just a sad reminder that we can do everything right out there and still be
a victim. Please ride with care.
