Hi Kenji,

I'm working on the Crown Point Viaduct Restoration Project for the Federal Highway Administration, scheduled to be under construction from August this year through summer next year. In order to complete construction of this project, a portion of the road will be closed to all vehicles, including bicycles, from September 4 through December 31st this year.

While we've done bit of public outreach to the people who live directly in the area, I realized we have not included the racing community in our notices. I know a lot of people like to ride out to Crown Point or Multnomah Falls on training rides, and construction of this project will directly affect us because sections of the road will be completely closed this coming fall. I'm not sure of the best way to get the word out...  Maybe in the News section at the bottom of the OBRA home page, or in the forums? I've attached a copy of the latest update on the project with more information than most people probably care to know. But here's the gist of the closures:

September 4 - September 30, 2012: From Crown Point to Latourell Falls, the historic highway will be closed to all vehicles, including bicycles

October 1 - December 31, 2012: From its intersection with Larch Mountain Road to Latourell Falls, the historic highway will be closed to all vehicles, including bicycles

Various lane closures and 20-minute delays will occur from August 2012 through May 2013, but passenger vehicles & bikes will otherwise be allowed through. The traffic control plan for 2013 has not yet been developed, but we will keep everyone informed as we learn more.

Please let me know what you think the best way to get the word out would be, and I'll write up the information differently if needed.
Take a look at the attached PDF & let me know what you think.

Thanks!
