Hi everyone,

I just wanted to let you know that the preliminary cue sheet for the summer
600 is up. There's room at the overnight for 20, and I've had 16 people
express interest, so let me know if this is something that you'd like to do,
and I'll keep you apprised. I expect sign-up will be open in late July.

The critics agree: this is going to be the ride of the summer.

"Thing two: I just mapped out the route on Ridewithgps dot com, and WOW! I
have GOT to ride this one!! You've really outdone yourself. This will go
down in ORR history as one of the best brevets ever. I guarantee it."

In order to really do this ride right, I'm going to need a bunch of help, so
PLEASE consider helping out. The minimum amount of help that I'll need to
put on this ride is one person to help me at the overnight and one person to
run a secret control. The route is pretty close to the shortest path
between all official controls, but there are some LONG stretches between
services on some legs, and I would like to have someone out there sitting at
a campsite with lots of food and water for hungry randos in one or (ideally)
two places. I have a couple locations in mind that could be manned by one
crew (one location on the first day, another on the second) if they were up
for it. It would be a lot less of a death march for me if I can get someone
to help out at the start and/or finish (each of which would be a much
smaller time commitment) too, and it would certainly be nice to have a
couple folks at the secret control(s) (to keep each other company).
Finally, if you want to ride on the official day, or aren't free on the
official day and still want to pitch in, if you wanted to help support the
pre-riders at McKenzie Bridge, that would be very welcome, too. (I'm also
going to send this to the OR Randonneurs mailing list, so sorry if you get
it twice.)

Opportunities to help out:
* Start Control (Saturday morning early plus possibly Friday night)
* Overnight Control (Saturday night)
* Finish Control (Sunday afternoon/evening)
* Secret Control #1 (Saturday Afternoon/Evening)
* Secret Control #2 (Sunday morning/afternoon)
* Pre-ride support

I haven't scheduled the worker's ride yet; I'm flexible based on the needs
of the other riders. The weekend before might be the best bet; it's less
likely to be sweltering that late in the summer.

Thanks, and I hope to see you in August!
