Hey Dan. The requirements are never waived. With a 8 am start and 13  
hour time limit, it's entirely possible you will need to have those  
lights and reflective gear if something unexpected occurs and you find  
yourself on the road a dusk hammering for the finish.

Stuff happens out there ... to everybody. Hope to see you there if  
workload permits.
