  Michael,
I am curious where your 400k will be.
Will it be similar to the Fleche route you devised this year?
I live in the Scappoose area and have several routes that =

would make great 100k and 200k Brevets.
My routes might be a good introduction to the area.
I plan on submitting these routes as Permanents
  (I'll be speaking with Susan)
before the start of the rando season.
I'd like to compare notes if you don't feel too
  proprietary about it.

  Ray Ogilvie
(We met in Tillamook during the Fleche)

Holy crap. Just went to The Kramer's blog, and saw what he has in store =
for the 400k next year: =

...the ride to Lost Lake, the climb up Lolo Pass, the Marmot back road =
to Sandy, the ride out to Eagle Cliff, the climb up Government Camp and ove=
r Bennett and Barlow passes and the ride up Sevenmile to The Dalles and may=
be up Dry Hollow to gawd knows where. =

If he means to send riders over Lolo Pass from the east, then that's a pr=
etty good long climb up a gravel road. The climb up over The Devil's Backb=
one on the old Barlow Road is a pretty good pitch, too. Not sure where Eag=
le Cliff is, but then to throw on top of that a climb up over Summitt, Barl=
ow, and Bennett passes is pretty brutal. Yikes! =

My 400k is no walk in the park, but it'll be easier than that! Folks who=
are used to the Covered Bridge 400 are going to have a bit tougher time ea=
rning their SR next year, that's certain.

  -Michael
