Hi There,
As the title of the movie goes: That was then; this is now.
If the French can come up with 750+ miles/1200+ Km of paved roads to run this years PBP on, then we can surely follow suit for something less than that distance.

How much of PBP would you say was paved in the early part of the 20th
century?
Gravel may not be the stuff of the UMCA, but it certainly is the stuff
of the RUSA.
