Don't your hands sweat?  To check, put on some rubber gloves for a few minutes.

When I do I have pruney, clammy hands.

Warm and damp works well.  I've carried a couple of extra pairs of wool liner
gloves during longer wet rides and changed mid-route.  For a half hour or so it's
back to warm and dry.

Wool liner gloves are light and can be stuffed into a small space.
