There is a special weather statement for Saturday, a significant storm
inbound. Twenty mph winds forcast with snow on the east side of the
Cascades. The weather discussion for Sunday is "Tranquil," and as long
as the snow stays above 1000 feet Saturday night, conditions should be
good. Snow covered hills would be nice. I am easy on the start time, but
if its just me, I'll start at 5 am. I like riding in the dark early
Sunday morning when there isn't any traffic. The Bingen School Hostel
has changed ownership and a bunk for the night is now $19. They say they
have all day lift tickets for Mt. Hood Meadows for $25, wonder what
thats all about (http://www.bingenschool.com/)? Looks like its kayak
Friday, ski Saturday and bike Sunday. Say wait a minute....thats crazy talk!
